Om Purnam – mantra Obilja

Tukaj imate pomen  in izvedbo mantre, ki smo jo poslušali na uri joge.

“Pūrṇa पूर्ण – The Law of Abundance

= a very large quantity of something. A situation in which there is more than enough of something.

= plentifulness of the good things in life; prosperity.

When we practice Abundance in Yoga or Meditation we want to focus on our inner world. We want to focus on what we already have and find happiness within us. We can learn that we, our soul, is everything we need to be happy. We can focus on what we really want from deeply within – not on what somebody else tells us. When we start to focus on that we can manifest it and create whatever we want and live a fully abundant life.

When we practice on finding abundance within us and not from the outer world, we automatically find our way out of victimhood. We will accept everything that happens, either it is a good or a bad thing, as it is and appreciate it because it brings us further. At one point we will understand that there is no difference in good or bad. We will understand that everything that happens serves us. Based on this understanding we will find happiness.

This turns out to be the first hymn of the Isha Upanishad.

Purnamadah Purnamidam
Purnat Purnamudachyate
Purnasya Purnamadaya
Purnameva Vashishyate
Om shanti, shanti, shanti

It is a beautiful poetic explanation of how Brahman, the source of everything is an inexhaustible and unchanging reality. The word repeated throughout the hymn is “purna” which means fullness, infinity, completeness, totality or wholeness. So a rough translation would be:

That (universality) is wholeness, this (individuality) is wholeness;

From that wholeness, this wholeness comes forth.

When wholeness is taken from or added to wholeness;

What remains is wholeness.

Om Peace, Peace, Peace”
